Marine Biology:
Marine Biology is a year long course designed to introduce the student to the features, basic processes, and unique biology of the marine environment in order to understand the ocean’s potential as a resource, and enhance awareness of the value and fragility of the ocean, its inhabitants and its ecosystems. During part A students investigate the following:
Unit 1: The Science of Marine Biology
Unit 2: Ocean Geology and the Properties of Water
Unit 3: Marine Microbes and Primary Producers
Unit 4: Marine Invertebrates
