Chemistry 1 is a year long course designed to meet college requirements as a lab science, covering the periodic table, atomic structure, chemical bonding, reactions and equilibrium, properties of gasses, acids, bases and solutions, thermodynamics, nuclear processes, and introducing organic and biochemistry. Part A contains the following units:

Unit 3: Periodic Table Trends (Chapter 2)
Unit 4: Nuclear Chemistry (Chapter 19)
Unit 5: Intermolecular Forces and Gas Laws (Chapters 10, 13, 14)
